How we put guides together

Our guides combine practical editorial analysis with source research where facts need verification. A sample itinerary is a suggested plan, not a claim that a writer has completed that exact trip. Comparisons explain the factors considered; they are not paid rankings.

Details that can change

Timetables, prices, entry rules, accessibility, opening hours and accommodation policies can change. Where those details affect a decision, we direct readers to the relevant operator or official source. Check the applicable information before booking and again before departure.

A new layout or photograph does not mean that every factual claim in an article has been freshly checked. We use review dates only for substantive checks, not automatic calendar updates.

Authorship and assistance

New material may be drafted with AI assistance and is subject to editorial review. Editorial-team attribution describes the publication's responsibility for the material; it is not an invented individual or a claim of firsthand travel. Existing named attribution is retained where material is carried forward.

About our images

The pilot uses AI-generated illustrative scenes hosted on our CDN. They show general travel ideas rather than documentary evidence of a particular destination, accommodation, meal or personal trip. Illustrative images are labelled. They should not be used to identify a property, judge its facilities or verify a route.

The packing checklist can save ticks and custom items in your browser's local storage. The tool does not send those entries to us.
