| Israel, located in the Mediterranean,
is one of the most unique countries in the world. It contains history from
the Old and New Testaments. The old and new history make a wonderful blend
and help to make a trip here an exciting one. It is home to the three major
religions of the world, Christianity, Judaism, and Islam. |

The climate of Israel is
mild during most of the year but, because parts are located in the desert,
the summer months of July and August can be quite hot. The suggested times
for visiting would be from February till November. In creating an itinerary
for visiting Israel, take into consideration that the north has snow in
the winter and the southern part, located on the Red Sea, is a great place
for scuba diving and snorkeling because of the beautiful coral beaches.
You can also cross the Sea of Galilee in a boat, which is a close replica
of the kind that Jesus used. |
| Because
of the diverse climates and topography of the land, there
are many unusual things to see while visiting. Ride camels
in the desert and take a jeep ride in the galilee.
There is a biblical zoo and
nature reserve. You might also want to participate in an archeological
dig for a day.
Tours to Israel can be customized
for individuals, couples, families and groups. |

Driving
in Israel is fine but be aware that the Israeli driver may
throw caution to the wind so the tourist must be the defensive
driver. All roads and highways are posted and signed in
both Hebrew and English.
There is a growing new industry
in the way of accommodations. Apartments, hotels and private flats have
become very popular and are a good way of saving money and also getting
a wonderful feel for the country. |
